In 2021, Whole Again Communities received funding through the European Regional Development Fund, via Community Led Local Development, to explore how we could secure our future during a period of uncertainty. That work confirmed what we already knew from experience: a permanent, eco conscious community hub was essential for long term stability, impact, and resilience.
With support from CLLD and match funding from Cornwall Council, we were able to deliver a purpose built community hub designed to meet Cornwall Council’s 2030 carbon neutral targets and support our work for years to come
After unavoidable delays, we returned to Treneere in March 2024. The warmth, encouragement, and practical support we received from the local and wider community during that time reinforced exactly why this hub matters.
Today, the Treneere Community Hub is a well used, welcoming space that supports daily community activity, practical support, workshops, and room hire. It stands as a collective achievement, made possible by the commitment of volunteers, staff, partners, and local organisations who contributed time, expertise, and care to bring the building to life.
This is no longer just a building. It is a working hub for connection, dignity, and capability.

Our WACKY venue, beloved but sadly too small to grow as a Community Hub and also a bit shabby.
